OEM integration at Merlin means one thing to us: your product ships with solar already built in, already working, and already tested. Whether that happens on your production line or before the initial sale, the end result is the same. Your customer receives an integrated product, not an add-on.
What OEM Integration
Means At Merlin Solar
We are not a retail brand trying to reach your customer. We are not a reseller packaging someone else’s product. Merlin Solar manufactures our own panels at our company-owned facility and we integrate directly into your supply chain as your supplier, not your competitor.
Our role is to support your product and your brand. Some of our OEM partners put Merlin front and center. Others prefer to keep us in the background, using our technology as the foundation while leading with their own brand. Either way, we are set up to work the way you need us to.
- You’re integrating solar into a vehicle, trailer, container, or mobile platform at the production stage
- You need a supplier who can keep up with your production line and won’t put it at risk
- Your current solar solution isn’t meeting your performance, durability, or delivery requirements
- You’re designing a new product and want solar that is engineered into the architecture from the start
- You need a panel that fits a specific footprint, wattage, or form factor that off-the-shelf products can’t seem to match
- You’re in the RV, transportation, construction, or specialty equipment space and need a partner with a proven production track record
- You want full energy system capability, from panel through to battery, inverter, and power management, without having to manage multiple suppliers
- You need an engineering partner who’ll stay involved through testing, integration, and beyond the sale
- Morbi fringilla convallis sapien, id pulvinar odio volutpat. Hi omnes lingua, institutis, legibus inter se differunt. Non equidem invideo, miror magis posuere velit aliquet. Quid securi etiam tamquam eu fugiat nulla pariatur. Inmensae subtilitatis, obscuris et malesuada fames. Fictum, deserunt mollit anim laborum astutumque!
What It’s Like to Work With Merlin Solar
Engineering-led from the very first conversation
When you work with Merlin, you aren’t talking to a sales rep who has to go find an engineer to answer your questions. You’re talking to the engineers directly. Our team carries both the product knowledge and the industry experience to give you real answers right away, understand all of your constraints, and push back when a different approach would serve you better.

We Start With Your Problem
Before we talk product, we talk application. What does your product need to do, what does it need to survive, and what constraints are you working within? Dimensions, wattage, wire routing, surface geometry, production cadence, budget. We look at all of it, because the right solution for your product might not be anything we have built before, and that’s fine with us.
We Build What You Need, Not What We Have on the Shelf
Most of our competition arrives with a SKU list and then works backwards. Merlin arrives with your problem and works forward. If an existing product fits, great. If it doesn’t, we build what does. Custom dimensions, custom wattage, custom wire location, custom color. If you need it and you’re willing to invest in it, we can develop it.
Where possible, we will always look to incorporate Merlin’s core panel technology into the solution. But the starting point is always your need, not our inventory.

We Stay Involved After the Design Is Done
Integration doesn’t end when the design is approved. Wire routing, installation sequencing, mechanic serviceability, system simplicity for the end user. These are the details that matter the most in the field, and we think about them from the very start. Our team works alongside yours through testing, integration, and production to make sure everything holds up exactly the way it should.
And when something goes wrong, as it occasionally does for every supplier, we will be the first to call you. Not the last.
You shouldn’t have to simplify your product to fit your suppliers limitations
Why OEMs Choose Merlin
We Are the Manufacturer
Merlin designs and builds our own panels at our company-owned manufacturing facility in Laguna, Philippines. When you work with Merlin, you are buying from the source. That means direct access to the people who build the product, faster response on custom requirements, and a supplier who is completely accountable for what ships to your line.
OEMs don’t want to manage a third-party reseller chain. They want to talk to the people who manufacture the product. At Merlin, that is who we are.
We Protect Your Production Lines
Having your production line go down costs a lot more than any panel is worth. Our OEM partners rely on us to deliver consistently, communicate proactively, and make sure that inventory always stays ahead of their build schedule. We take that responsibility very seriously. Our existing RV and transportation OEM customers are not buying in batches. They are building every day, and we are an important part of how that works.
We Reduce Warranty Claims
For OEM partners, solar isn’t just another feature, it’s a warranty exposure. Battery failures, panel damage, and system reliability issues can all generate service calls that come back to you. Merlin panels are built to a durability standard that most conventional panels don’t reach. Fewer failures in the field means fewer claims, fewer service interruptions, and a better product experience for your customer without any extra effort on your part.
We Offer Full Energy System Capability
Merlin can be a panel supplier or a full energy system partner, from solar generation through battery storage, inverters, converters, and power management. For OEMs who want one supplier to handle the complete energy architecture rather than assembling it from multiple vendors, we can easily provide that. If you want the full system to arrive as an integrated solution, we can build it that way.
We Can Enter at Any Stage
Whether you are designing a new product from scratch, already mid-production and looking to incorporate solar, or facing a supply gap because your current provider cannot deliver, Merlin can step in. We have entered OEM partnerships at concept stage, during live production runs, and in urgent situations where a competitor’s failure left a production line without a panel supplier. We are built to be flexible on both the product side and the engagement side.
A Track Record You Can Count On
No OEM wants to be the first. The question they are always asking is: have you done this before, at this scale, for this long, without putting someone’s line down?
Our answer is yes. Merlin Solar has active OEM partnerships across commercial transportation and the RV industry, with partners who build every day and have relied on us to keep up. Our panels have accumulated over 10 billion cumulative fleet road miles across real commercial deployments. The performance data, the durability results, and the supply track record are all there.
We always reference our RV and transportation OEM customers specifically because they represent true production-line integration, instead of batch orders and one-off projects. We represent daily builds, with Merlin as part of the line.

Frequently Asked Questions
OEM integration means Merlin’s solar technology is built into your product before it’s initially sold to the end customer. Whether that happens on your production line or just before the sale, the result is an integrated product that your customer receives as a complete, working system rather than an aftermarket addition. Merlin works with you on the design, manufacturing, testing, and ongoing supply to make that integration seamless.
In most cases, no. Merlin does not white label its panels for OEM partners. Most of our OEM customers use Merlin’s name in a supporting role, presenting solar as a feature of their product that is powered by Merlin technology. The degree to which the Merlin brand is visible depends on the partner and the market. Some customers actively leverage the Merlin name for credibility. Others prefer to keep the focus on their own brand with Merlin in the background. We are set up to support both of these approaches.
Yes. If an existing Merlin product fits your requirements, we will lead with that, as it simplifies procurement and keeps the costs manageable. If it doesn’t fit, whether due to dimensions, wattage, wire location, color, or any other constraint, we can develop a custom solution. We work with your engineering team to define the requirements and build what the product actually needs rather than asking you to compromise on fit and finish.
It typically starts with a conversation about your application and requirements, not a product presentation. From there the path depends on your context. Transportation and fleet OEM partners generally move through a pilot phase where we install on an asset and demonstrate performance. RV manufacturers typically go through a lab testing and approval process before any production decision is made. In either case, Merlin supports you through every step, including testing, integration planning, and production ramp-up.
Merlin manufactures its own panels at a company-owned facility in Laguna, Philippines. As the manufacturer, we have direct control over production quality, lead times, and inventory planning. We work with OEM partners to stay ahead of their build schedules and communicate proactively when anything changes. Our existing production-line OEM customers build daily and depend on us to keep up. That track record is something we take seriously and protect.
Yes. For OEM partners who want a single supplier to handle the full energy architecture, Merlin can provide solar generation, battery storage, inverters, converters, and power management as an integrated system. This is especially relevant for partners in transportation, RV, and off-grid infrastructure who want to simplify their supplier relationships and deliver a complete, tested energy solution to their customers.
Our primary OEM partnerships are in commercial transportation, including Class 8 trucks, refrigerated trailers, and last-mile delivery vehicles, and in the RV industry, where we work with manufacturers who integrate Merlin panels at the production stage. We also have OEM partnerships in defense, off-grid infrastructure, and specialty equipment. If your application involves a mobile or deployable platform that needs reliable onboard solar, it is likely a good fit for the kind of OEM relationship we build.
